2007 Wisdom - Baccuhus and Beery Wine Blog - Very Good Wine!

Dendor Patton Wisdom is a uniquely well-balanced and food friendly Zinfandel. Not as big and jammy as some from Sonoma, this beautiful medium-bodied Zin from Mendocino has a lovely nose of blueberry and briar with soft tannins and enough spice and oak to add character. The blend includes 7.5% Petite Sirah which adds to and compliments the structure.

2007 Wisdom - Ken's Wine Guide review - 91 Points!

This ruby colored Zin opens with an attractive blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and black cherry blend. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with Theresa's meatloaf. This is a wine to you should enjoy in the near term. Enjoy - Ken

2006 Wisdom - Ken's Wine Guide review - 90 Points

This Zin blend has really developed into a very nice wine. (It was bit tight last year) It opens with a fragrant raspberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty and jammy black raspberry and blueberry blend. There are hints of pepper and just a kiss of oak was detected in the background as well. The finish is quite dry and its big tannins are very sticky and linger for quite a while. It would pair well with a ribeye now and will do well in the cellar for the next few years. Enjoy – Ken

2005 Wisdom - Ken's Wine Guide review - 90 Points

Sometimes you just come across a wine that just stands out amongst its peers. This 2005 Zin blend from Dendor Patten does just that. This very dark purple wine opens with a very pleasant spicy black current like bouquet with hints of licorice. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is exceptionally well balanced and has some structure for a 2005. Perhaps that is due to the Carignane that is added to the blend. The flavor profile is one of delicious spicy boysenberries. This wine is a real success. The finish is quite dry with some soft tannins that linger for quite some time. This wine is also very food friendly and would pair nicely with my wife’s meatloaf or my beef bourguignon. Order a bottle or two and enjoy – Cheers, Ken
